Hey I'm new to sampling and I humbly ask you pros to give me some tips.
You've heard it everywhere. Songs use crazy audio clips from Youtube videos and quotes from movies in their songs. To name an obvious example, Above and Beyond uses many film score aspects to their compositions.
I was wondering where to start with this. I searched the internet a lot but I'm going to resort to asking you fine gentlemen.
I use FL Studios. I know Edison is the audio editor. But how do you record, slice, and clean up these clips for use in an actual composition. In fact, how do you import the audio in the first place? Do you need MP3's?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
