Removing some of the "Hiss" from a sample

I personally like when a sample has a bit of hiss and crackle behind it, but i'm sure everyone who has ever sampled before has come across that one sample that was a little over the top!

Just wondered if anyone had any tips/tricks or good plugins that could help lower this?
