I know this has most definitely been posted about before and this is not a post out of laziness or without searching around for tutorials.
I have watched a few different tutorials concerning sampling in Edison, the most useful being the "Warbeats" tutorial.
I have been able to get a perfect loop going in Edison no problem, but I have two problems thereafter:
1) Once I drag the loop into the step sequencer it becomes incorrect (I understand this is probably due to to the tempo of my project) and can be fixed by time stretching. However, I have tried to figure out how to time stretch it and simply can't.
2) In the Warbeats tutorial he chops up the loop again using Edison and then loads it into FL Slicer at which point he uses his midi keyboard to make a pattern/melody in the piano roll. What is the best way to do this without using a midi keyboard? Clicking? Here's the video because you might not understand exactly what I mean otherwise:
