So I started messing with fl studio for fun and tried to put a sample in 'forgot to be your lover' by william bell in a song I was trying to create. I encountered the following problem, after creating a simple beat by using a hiphop kick and a hiphop snare and adding the chopped sample in fl slicer I pressed play, but the sample played extremely fast only lasting like 1 or 2 seconds. while the simple beat had the right tempo (i put the tempo on 80), when i slow down the tempo to 25 the sample sounds good, but the kick and snare are extremely slow. Anyone know how to solve this problem, I'm sure there is a way to make the sample sound good without having to slow the overall tempo down.

alright so I found out the problem is that the bpm in the sample and in the overall song do not match, when i turn the bpm's in the sample up the overall sample becomes slower, but when I turn it down the sample becomes too fast and ends to fast. So I have to change the overall bpm's but that on the other hand will mess up the rhythm of the song. any help?
