alright so the sampling and digging forum is at the moment crammed full of e-digging shit. post why you love vinyl.

i started off e-digging. i would download at least 10 albums a day. i ammassed a huge collection. the thing is, getting free music, plus the fact you just click for the next song, tended to lead me not to listen to full songs, and i listened to almost NO full albums. i probably listened to less than 5% of the stuff i had. e-digging is also boring as hell IMO. not enjoyable.

digging for records, the digging is fun as hell, it's an adventure every time. i love records, love throwing them on the turntable, and will listen to the whole thing. it doesn't feel disposable. the listening experience is the best you can have (vinyl sounds great) and i enjoy listening to records more than mp3s. the whole thing involves more patience, so i tend to listen to full songs to find that golden moment to sample rather than throwing it on for 5 seconds and dismissing it as wack.

being a mainly sample based dude has become a HELL of a lot more fun since i started digging for records. i can't ever see myself going back.
